# Accessibility & Sustainability
Our approach to making the White City 10K usable by as many people as possible.
**Accessibility**
We want the White City 10K to be an event that everyone feels welcome to take part in. If you have any accessibility requirements, we encourage you to get in touch with us ahead of race day so we can understand how best to support you.
- **Wheelchair users:** Wheelchair users are welcome to take part in the 10K in a day chair. Racing wheelchairs and handbikes are not permitted. There is no separate wheelchair race, category or prize. Please contact us before entering so we can agree your start position and any support you need.
- **Guide runners:** Guide runners are very welcome. Please contact our team in advance so we can make the appropriate arrangements for you and your guide.
- **Other accessibility requirements:** If there is anything else we can do to help you participate comfortably and safely, please get in touch. We’ll work with you wherever possible to make suitable arrangements.
**Everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy race day, and we’ll do our best to make White City 10K as accessible and inclusive as possible.**
**Sustainability**
We’re committed to reducing the environmental impact of the White City 10K and making more sustainable choices wherever we can. We also encourage everyone taking part to help us make race day a little greener.
- **Getting to the event:** Where possible, please travel to White City 10K by public transport, on foot or by bike.
- **Reducing single-use plastic:** We aim to keep the course free from single-use plastic bottles, with water served in recyclable cups. Please dispose of cups and other waste in the bins provided.
- **Unwanted clothing:** Clothing left in designated areas at the start will be collected and, wherever possible, donated to local charities rather than going to waste.
- **Waste and recycling:** Please help us keep the event and surrounding area clean by using the appropriate bins around Race HQ, baggage, the start and finish areas.
- **Finisher T-shirts:** We give participants the choice to buy a finisher T-shirt, helping us avoid producing unnecessary items while still giving runners who want one the opportunity to purchase a race-day memento.
**Small choices across thousands of runners can make a real difference, and we appreciate everyone helping us make White City 10K a more sustainable event.**
